Hi everyone! The topic of today is '' my experience making the herbarium ''. First of all, I can say it was the most stressful activity of the year. In part, it was the fact of looking for the native species, but it was the worst the fact of knowing that we have a limit of time to do it.
Sometimes I went out with friends to climb hills, or practice activities, but in another chance I went alone to Cerro San Cristobal, and that was the day when I collected almost the half of my herbarium. It was great that day because it was raining but softly, and I could spend a day with myself. It was great
It took me about 6 months looking for species and drying them, some get bad and I had to look for some new. In my case, I have to say I never knew what it was on my hands (I mean the specie) 'till I started to put them on files, and write the name of the sample; but not until that day, I just knew that I had a bunch of leafs drying.
The night I had to spend like 5 hours sewing 30 samples to paperboards, writing on a file the scientific name, the common name, the day and the place where I found it, and the coordinates, but I can say it was the night when I learned a lot I started to remember names, characteristics and knowing how to recognize them.
What can I say? It was great after all the stress
Bye!

never I forget that... 77!
